Сегодня рассмотрим предлоги в английском языке упражнения с которыми помогут легче усвоить материал и закрепить выученную тему. Но для начала немного теории для общего понимания или напоминания.
Предлоги в английском языке: таблица с примерами
Каждый день мы говорим, что мы куда-то идем, откуда-то возвращаемся, куда-то направляемся и пр. Чтобы правильно выразить свое намерение или рассказать о поездке, нужно знать использовать в речи предлоги места. Их не так уж и много. За два-три дня можно полностью выучить все существующие предлоги и научиться употреблять их в разговоре.
Справка: Если применять теорию с примерами, то изучение предлогов будет легким даже для детей, а не только для взрослых. Итак, выучим нужные нам в английском языке, а потом рассмотрим и упражнения.

Если мы подразумеваем, что внутри стола находится ящик для канцелярских и пр. принадлежностей. Во время перевода нужно смотреть именно на контекст, который поможет перевести нужное предложение правильно. У вас уровень intermediate? Отлично! Вы вполне справитесь с заданием! А если вы все же немного путаетесь, то делайте упражнения с переводом. Так занятия будут более эффективными.
Обратите внимание! От предлога может зависеть весь смысл предложения, особенно если оно небольшое! Over the river/under the river – наглядный пример. Второй яркий пример – on the left/to the left . On the left означает слева, по левую сторону, to the left – налево. Чтобы правильно сочинить предложение и помочь человеку добраться до нужного места, умение различать эти два предлога очень вам пригодится.

Чаще других употребляются предлоги места on, in и at. Каждый из этих предлогов является многозначным.

Предлоги among и between .
Предлоги among и between схожи по значению, но не являются взаимозаменяемыми, поэтому нужно четко дифференцировать их значения. Between – между 2-мя предметами / лицами. Among – среди нескольких предметов / лиц.

Beside, near, next to, by.
Beside, near, next to, by – еще одна группа похожих предлогов. Но в отличие от предыдущей пары, эти предлоги в значении рядом с взаимозаменяемы.
next to the stove / beside the stove / near the stove / by the stove - около плиты.
next to Kyle / beside Kyle / near Kyle / by Kyle - возле Кайла

Предлоги inside и outside .
Предлоги места inside и outside – просты в применении. Они имеют только по одному значению, а поэтому Вы не запутаетесь.
inside – внутри
outside – снаружи, за пределами
inside the eye – в глазу
inside the starship – внутри космического корабля
inside a hemisphere – внутри полусферы
outside the permitted area – вне разрешенной области

Предлоги места round и around.
Предлоги round и around имеют много общего, но не являются полностью идентичными. Оба предлога имеют значение вокруг:
round the fires – вокруг огней,
round a plantation – вокруг плантации,
around the police car – вокруг полицейской машины,
around a fire – вокруг костра.
Помимо этого, around в качестве предлога времени может переводится как около, неподалёку:

In front of, opposite и behind.
Предлоги in front of, opposite и behind часто используются для описания местонахождения объектов относительно друг друга.
in front of – перед,
opposite – напротив,

Предлоги места above и over в значении над очень похожи. Но есть между ними и небольшая разница. Оver мы будем использовать, если описываемые нами объекты соприкасаются или в случае, если один предмет используется для защиты другого, а above – если объекты расположены на отдалении друг от друга и нас интересует исключительно пространственная составляющая.
Molly put on a coat over her dress. – Молли надела пальто поверх платья.
The sky is above us. – Над нами небо.
Это правило не всегда используется, однако, если Вы не можете решить, какой предлог места выбрать – смело им руководствуйтесь.
Below - ниже, под. The cargo space is below the quarters and below that there is a power room. Под жилым отсеком расположен трюм, а еще ниже - машинное отделение.

Разница между under и below в том, что under мы используем, когда один предмет находится под защитой другого или в непосредственной близи, а предлог below – когда мы говорим о географическом или логическом расположении.

Warm-up
Используйте разминку для того,чтобы повторить лексику, которая будет использоваться вместе с упражнениями на предлоги: book, desk, chair, table, pencil, pen, teacher. Для этого попросите учеников встать. Поднимите один предмет и спросите: “What is this?”. Те ученики, которые знают ответ, поднимают руку. Выберете ученика и, если он ответил правильно, разрешите ему сесть. Продолжайте разминку, пока вы не повторили всю лексику и все ученики не сели.

Выберите любой предмет в классе. Не называя его скажите ученикам, где он находится,например: “It’s next to the window”. Тот ученик, который первым правильно назвал предмет, становится следующим ведущим.

Принесите на урок какой- нибудь интересный предмет, например, сувенир. Ученики пробуют догадаться, куда в классе вы его положили и задают вопросы: “Is it in your bag?”, “Is it behind the cupboard?” Тот, кто правильно угадал, становится ведущим в следующем раунде.
5. The Best Picture

6. A Messy Room

Ученики работают в парах. Раздайте каждой паре 10 sticky notes, отдельный цвет для каждой пары. Используя предлоги места ученики пишуть указания, которым будет должна следовать другая команда, чтобы получить приз. Каждая подсказка ведет к следующей,например: “Clue 2 is on the bookshelf”. 9. Describe the room
Подготовьте список или картинки известных персонажей из книг и кино. Раздайте ученикам по персонажу или же попросите их выбрать самостоятельно из списка. Ученики должны представить комнату этого персонажа и письменно описать ее, используя предлоги места. Соберите все сочинения, перемешайте и раздайте другим ученикам. Каждый ученик читает параграф, написанный кем-то другим. Затем он должен угадать,какому персонажу принадлежит эта комната.
Можно адаптировать это задание и для работы один-на-один.
10. Google Maps
Выберите любой город в мире. Попросите учеников зайти в Google Maps режим спутник+панорама и ввести начальный адрес,который вы написали на доске. Скажите ученикам,что если они будут следовать вашим указаниям, то придут к известной достопримечательности в городе. Дайте ученикам несколько указаний, к примеру, “go straight”, “ turn left” и т.д. Затем спросите каждого, куда он пришел.
Это задание прекрасно подойдет и для индивидуального обучения.
